The main kitchen is downstairs. The upstairs kitchen is simple but includes a small fridge, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. The village of Manteo is delightful, with plenty of activities in town, as well as additional activities throughout the northern Outer Banks. Our house is in a quiet neighborhood within a pleasant, five-minute walk of coffee shops, restaurants, bookstore, movie theater, shopping, Roanoke Island Festival Park, NC Maritime Center, eco-kayaking, and the waterfront docks with a replica of a 16th century English ship. Located in the center of historic Roanoke Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, this Nantucket-style village is connected to the NC Aquarium, The Island Farm, the Elizabethan Gardens and Fort Raleigh National Park by a delightful and meandering bike and walking path. The house is a 10-minute drive to the Nags Head beaches, a 20-minute drive to the Wright Brothers' First Flight Site, and convenient to journeys to the famous Corolla, Bodie Island, Hatteras and Ocracoke Island lighthouses.
